You may be wondering, what the heck is this? Well, since I have just registered to the „Daj się poznać” competition and it’s very common in a programming world that projects/tutorials usually start with basic „Hello world”, voila, here you have it! „Hello world” written in Malbolge language. However, I am not going to write my project in this language 😀 (there are easier and more civilized ways to punish yourself).
So back to the start.
The idea behind the „Daj się poznać” competition is that each of the participants has to contribute to open source by developing a project (you can choose any topic/programming language) and writing about it for three straight months (2 posts per week).
I have decided to develop an Android application for my friend’s project (in an early stage of advancement) Piotr Gankiewicz called Coolectively (that being a preliminary working title). Long story short, it is a platform for a local community which provides the possibility to submit improvement suggestions, ideas and to report violations (for example spots in parks that are piled with rubbish). Then, it would enable users to take part in resolving them or notifying cleaning services. As a development language I am going to use Kotlin(no experience yet) instead of Java.
Stay tuned and good luck to anyone who is taking part in the competition!
